The FTC is Suing WPATH
And I Hope They Give Them Hell
For years, parents who questioned pediatric gender medicine were called bigots. Clinicians who raised concerns were threatened, censored, and pushed out of their professions. Anyone who dared ask for evidence was told that “gender-affirming care” was lifesaving and beyond debate.
That narrative is finally being challenged.
In my latest Human Events piece, I cover the Trump administration’s move against WPATH and other organizations accused of misleading the public about the evidence behind medical child sex-change interventions. The fight is no longer just political. It has become a question of accountability, transparency, and whether medical organizations can continue making claims that don’t withstand scrutiny.
Back in February, the Federal Trade Commission started poking around WPATH’s claims about pediatric transition services. As of today, they’ve poked enough to sue.
The FTC, joined by Alaska, Iowa, Nebraska, and Texas, filed a lawsuit against the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, alleging that the organization provided medical providers with the means to make false and unsubstantiated claims to parents to sell pediatric medical transition services. It’s about time we hold this organization accountable for the countless harms it has inflicted on so many children and their families.
